Begun as a way for farmers to share their bounty with the community, the Harvest Festival sponsored by the Owyhee Community has grown into a family-friendly event. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert, and a meal is prepared on-site. In 2019, an apple cider press was brought to the event, and attendees enjoyed pressing their own cider to drink with their meal. Before departing, people were invited to fill a bag with potatoes to take home, and another to share with a family member or friend. Stay tuned for more information on the 2020 Harvest Festival.
